तिङ् gets transformed in various लकार to give meaning of tenses and moods. तिङन्त-पद gets different forms based on the लकार. There are 10 लकारऽ and each लकार has a specific meaning.&lt;br /&gt;

If यक्-प्रत्यय is added between तिङ्-प्रत्यय and धातु it indicates कर्म-कारक for सकर्मक-क्रिया in the four लकारऽ (सार्वधातुक-लकार लट्, लङ्, लोट्, विधि-लिङ्). Then it follows the पुरुष and वचन of the कर्म-कारक. It always takes आत्मनेपदि-forms, irrespective of whether धातु is परस्मैपदी or आत्मनेपदि.&lt;br /&gt;
